Hebron Community Church, the first church of the Churches of Christ the King movement, is based in Wichita, Kansas. Hebron grew out of a small Religious Missionary Order Fellowship of urban missionaries who fellowshipped together for more than 25 years, and then decided to start a movement of churches that invite the lost and the least to become disciples of Jesus, representing him in broken neighborhoods. Our mission is to live as a community of Christ’s disciples that confess his person, experience his presence, follow his path, and fulfill his kingdom purpose. Our vision is to see a flourishing Kingdom outpost in every broken neighborhood on earth, and our purpose is to plant churches that glorify Christ as king and advance his kingdom where those disciples live, work, and serve. We will officially launched our new fellowship on the Feast of the Reign of Christ the King Sunday in November 2023.
Our Hebron Community Church exists to honor and glorify God and delight in him in the greater Wichita area and beyond. As a Christian community of faith, our passion is to exalt Christ and his Kingdom–to see a flourishing assembly of disciples of Jesus in every community where he is not presently known. We maintain a liturgical form of worship based on the celebrations, litanies, and liturgies association with the Christian Year. As a messianic community which believes that Jesus of Nazareth is both Messiah and Lord, we use the CCKAnnual.com as our congregational guide to walk through together the life and ministry of Jesus in real time, anchoring our devotion and discipleship in the Scriptures, themes, songs, prayers, and disciplines of the Church, marking our shared spirituality and journey through the Church Calendar.
